...which means that there is a sixth and seventh epistle from the little bugger over at [personal profile] anchises.

Just thought you'd like to know. *thud*
so this is all [personal profile] synecdochic's fault.

jd nielson took over my brain sometime last week, and isn't giving it back until he's good and ready. he's a selfish little bastard, really. but there is fic!

first, there was the first epistle of jd nielson, in which he whines at mitchell about the local gay business networking group.

then, there was Neverwas, the first of (currently) two pieces exploring the nielson/mitchell relationship's kinkier side. it was perhaps an attempt at giving him a good hiding so he shut up. (boy, that didn't work.)

next, there was the second epistle, which jd is writing from london having had to take measures with daniel.

the third epistle is an oft-repeated complaint about the lack of decent doms in the colorado springs area. this is definitely going to be the first of many of these.

in the fourth epistle, nielson bitches out mitchell about the kitchen, and she smacks him right back in the comments. (make sure you scroll down.)

saint andrew and his crossis the second piece of fic and explores an interesting point that [personal profile] synecdochic and I discovered in jd and cammie's relationship (and discussed at her journal). it's also, people say, quite hot.

and most recently, there's the fifth epistle, in which we follow the joys of a government contractor and we meet bernice, who might just be one of my new favorite people. and really, don't we all need a bernice?

(it seems unlikely that this is it. feel free to subscribe to [personal profile] anchises for when it comes in.)

I have a "Five Things" story about Sassy, and would love to have someone beta it before I post it...any volunteers?

I have updated the Mitchell-Griffith family tree. This time: [personal profile] stultiloquentia asked for a copy of the timeline I refer to when writing my own fic (though for this one, I took out my stories from the continuity).

Spoilerrific for all of BW. )

Okay, people! Put on your crackfic hats. What happened to (or in!) 2006?

It was brought to my attention that my Clan Mitchell Who's Who spreadsheet stopped being accessible when Geocities went poof. (Oops.) It is now on Google Docs here. Should be visible to everyone.

I have a few bits of Mitchellfic I've written over the last little while.

Good Advice, being Cam and Everett in the Road Not Taken AU.

Some fluff featuring Henry Griffith, and a pair of poxy seven-year-old Griffith twins.

Futurefic in a world where the Stargate program is public and Jennifer Griffith inherits a legacy, and a memory in which she meets Daniel Jackson.

Is anyone else posting their fic about JD or the Mitchells to Archive of Our Own? I archived mine today, and thought about it, and thought about it, and crossfiled the fandom as both SG1 and Broken Wings.

Someone needs to use this website to map the Mitchell family tree, like, yesterday:

(It's limited in that it lacks a "stray" function, but I suppose we can't have everything. :( )

This is not the ficathon you're looking for. That's still being sorted out.

This a commentfic post! (I just injured myself and can't walk, so I am sitting in a suite in a hotel on the Las Vegas strip with my leg iced and elevated while the rest of my party is watching the World Series of Poker at the Rio, so I thought I'd distract myself a bit.)

You can comment to request a prompt, or write from one of the following:

  • Five things that never happened to the Mitchells
  • A cross-stitch sampler
  • Creative uses of alcohol
  • Sunrise burning off the fog
  • A very tense card game

Nb. [personal profile] ivorygates has asked that people not use her AUs without prior individual permission from her.

Thanks to[personal profile] synecdochic  for the recent fix and the nudge for more Delta fic, I present the following, unbetaed - this is more a drabble than anything, but it's JD and Cam and Delta in the same room at the same time. Hope you enjoy. This is set in the future, when the dust is all settled.

This is to gauge interest in a ficathon/fic-exchange/"dude, people, write something" event, as discussed in [personal profile] boosette's post. Any and all ideas and feedback would be great.

Poll #1445 So there's going to be a ficathon!

Would anyone be up for helping me organize a Clan Mitchell holiday exchange?

So [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis is running the Fall Fandom Free-For-All, and I saw a prompt. And I tried to figure out how to make it work, and I couldn't. And then it morphed into something workable. And then I tried to figure out who the hell one of the characters was and what she was doing all season. And she told me, quite calmly and politely considering that part of the answer to what she was doing all season is 'going batshit crazy', exactly who she is. So, this chick?

Katie Cassidy as Ruby

Apparently she's a Mitchell cousin. This is her story. Supernatural spoilers through the season four finale.

A Brief Introduction to Life In Pegasus, starring the Captains Griffith, part of my weird little AU universe and a piece of irredeemable plotless fluff.
If I think about this too much I may just fall down dead, but apparently, the role of JD may in fact be played by my BROTHER.

My brain hurts, oh yes indeed )

You're working a ren-faire booth and you realize that the customer you're helping would be *perfect* to cast as Cammie (if only for a photo shoot) if she hadn't dyed her hair blond.

And yeah. My hobbies sometimes eat my brain.
While I was busy encouraging [personal profile] darthneko to write awesome Clan Mitchell/Supernatural crackfic, she mentioned that the clan were hard to keep track of.

(No, really?)

Thinking that a visual aid might be useful, I slapped my understanding of the Family onto a family tree for her. I thought it might be useful for other people, too.

The family tree, and my thoughts about it )

For those interested, I just posted a new fic titled "No Fixed Abode", in which various family members are featured, and a mutant version of the "Bounty" story [personal profile] alexseanchai outlined occurs.

Of interest to some of you: a brief e-mail exchange between brothers, regarding an unfortunate incident involving a certain pair of twins, Team Lorne, and a witch.

(Yes, yes - at some point I will get around to not-writing the bounty hunter thing that [personal profile] alexseanchai came up with.)
